A resilient healthcare system relies on accurate, real-time data and swift field execution. The rollout and scaling of the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response System (IDSRS) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa mark a decisive step forward in how we safeguard our communities against epidemic-prone and infectious diseases.By linking primary, secondary, and tertiary health facilities into a single, unified digital surveillance network, IDSRS transforms localized health data into immediate public health action. This indicator- and event-based tracking allows our District Health Offices, Rapid Response Teams (RRTs), and provincial leadership to detect potential outbreaks—from vector-borne threats like Dengue to waterborne and vaccine-preventable illnesses—at their origin, before they disrupt lives. Our goal at the Directorate General Health Services is clear: total coverage, zero reporting delay, and seamless inter-departmental coordination. I applaud the dedication of our health managers, focal persons, and field epidemiology teams across all districts. I reiterate our commitment to equipping our healthcare workforce with the digital tools, training, and operational support necessary to build a safer, health-secure Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
