IDSRS charts its next-generation surveillance roadmap
The 2026+ direction centres on institutionalisation, laboratory and One Health integration, stronger DHIS2 data flows, DARS-enabled alert-to-action workflows, and Rapid Response Team readiness.
The revised IDSRS direction shifts the programme from reporting infrastructure toward an integrated intelligence and response platform.
Four priorities guide the next phase: institutionalise the revised PC-I with stronger human resources and district ownership; integrate epidemiological, laboratory and One Health intelligence; digitise data flows through DHIS2, analytics and DARS; and strengthen alert verification and coordinated response.
